Never miss a bin day again. Loci can send you reminders for your upcoming collections straight to your phone.
Before you start
- Make sure you’ve joined your community in the Loci app.
- Check your address/postcode is correct in your profile so we can show the right collection dates.
Step 1: Open your Bins collection schedule
Open the Loci app.
If you’re not already there, tap the Council tab at the bottom of the screen.
Then tap the first tile called Bins collection schedule.
Bins collection schedule is available from the Council tab.
Step 2: Tap Manage notification preferences
On the Waste Collections screen, tap Manage notifications preferences.
Tap Manage notification preferences to customise your bin reminders.
Step 3: Turn on bin schedule notifications
Switch on All Notifications if you want other important updates too. Otherwise toggle on the Bins schedule notifications.
Your phone may provide an additional option to allow notifications from Loci, ensure you select Allow for this setting.
Toggle bin notifications on and review your reminder timings for each bin type.
Step 4: Customise reminder timings
Under Bins schedule notifications, you can customise when you want to be notified for each bin type (for example, the day before at a specific time).

To change a reminder time, tap the current time shown next to the bin type
Select the required day and time, then select Apply
- To disable a reminder, toggle off the specific bin

To re-enable a reminder, toggle on the specific bin
Still not getting notifications?
If you’re on the latest version and notifications are switched on:
Try closing and reopening the app.
Check your internet connection.
Log out and back in again.
Restart your phone.
